Hyper makes the Carbon X 26 Mtb that I turned into Project X. Now they have a new Carbon X 29 mountain bike. With 29ers being the most popular wheel size, this should appeal to a wider market. One thing about it though, is the price...$598, which gets into local bike shop territory. Is it a worthy successor to the Carbon X 26er? Can it compete with entry level offerings from a LBS?
