Things to know before buying a 4 post lift

It's not uncommon for automotive shops to upgrade their lifts. This provides a great opportunity for the everyday hobbyist to purchase an old one. Earlier this year I purchased a used rotary 4 post lift that had been in use for almost 30 years. It was in awful condition.
