Zoom LiveTrak L20: Skype For Podcasting (Mix Minus)
Hello, this is John from Zoom and I am here to show you how to create a mix-minus on the LiveTrak L-20.
A mix-minus is used when you need to create a custom mix to prevent feedback. This is essential if you are recording a Skype call from your computer during a podcast.
First connect your microphones to inputs on the L-20, then connect the headphone output of your computer to the next available input. An adapter may be necessary to make this connection.
Next, connect one of the L-20’s outputs labeled A-F to your computer’s audio input. This is necessary for the Skype caller to hear audio from the L-20. In order to prevent feedback, you will need to lower the output level of the Skype caller on the chosen L-20 output.
Now you can connect headphones for your podcast guests and create a custom mix for each output.
