L/S of the fire service stood by a mobile pump. Various shots of them connecting the hose and using it. L/S of boys in P.E. kit running and jumping over logs, M/S as they run up a wooden frame. Various shots of the boys going over the assault course which includes a high wall and climbing along a rope over a river.
M/S of two sailing boats on the sea, C/U of one boat. C/U of boys rowing another boat, various shots of the boats and the boys aboard. L/S of boys in trunks stood by a reel, four of them run forward and pick up a rope and run out to sea with it, they form a line and hold the rope over their heads. C/U of one boy feeding the line through his hands, C/U of the boy feeding out the rope from the reel. M/S as they carry in a boy they have rescued.
L/S of the Grampian mountains covered in snow, M/S of two men watching, one is looking through binoculars, the other man points something out to him and shouts down to the boys. M/S as two boys ski off down the mountain. M/S as other boys run in with a sledge to rescue someone, various shots as they take his skis off and prepare the sledge like a stretcher. M/S as they lift the boy on and wrap him up, they then pull the sledge away. M/S of boys dressed in kilts playing drums and bagpipes, various shots as they march and play.
