Francois Tusques, Carlos Andreu, Ramadolf - Le Musichien (Conte Afro-Catalan)

Beautiful Spiritual Afro-Parisian Jazz led by François Tusques with Catalan vocalist Carlos Andreu & The Intercommunal Free Dance Music Orchestra. Title track released on the independent Edizione Corsica ‎label (1983). "When it was created around 1971, the Intercommunal Free Dance Music Orchestra was composed entirely of musicians professionals from jazz. This was the time when Paris became the second home of many New York jazz musicians trying more or less to escape the hell of "Babylon" as the Black Panthers called the United States. It is certain that we have all been heavily influenced by free jazz revolt that these musicians were playing. When the orchestra was founded, there was however a desire to make music closer to the public workers in France. Awareness that existed in our cities popular music and there was still a popular music in our country, and even in some places such as Brittany (Breton traditional musicians often join us) or Basque Country, this music was not only alive, but also changing." This track ft - Jean-Jacques Avenel (Bass), Yebga Likoba, Sylvain Kassap (Sax), Ramadolf (Trombone, Bells), Kilikus (Percussion, Congas), François Tusques (Piano), Carlos Andreu (Vocals).
