Harold Land - Mtume
Spiritual jazz dedicated to the conga player of the same name. Recorded in Los Angeles for 'A New Shade of Blue' released on Mainstream (1971), reissued on Wewantsounds (2017). Serious line up with Harold Land (sax), Bobby Hutcherson (vib), Bill Henderson (piano), Buster Williams (bass), Billy Hart (drums), Mtume (congas). Also recorded the same year on Hutcherson's release Head On (Blue Note) with an eleven-piece ensemble.
