Samsung Gear 360 2016 vs Gear 360 2017 - Which is Best?

Which is the best Samsung Gear 360 camera, is it the 2016 V1 model or the new 2017 V2 model? Both are can record in 4K video and the V1 has 30Mp image camera the V2 only has 15Mp camera.

Both can record video, take photos and timelapses, however, V1 will not pair to any iPhone whereas V2 will pair to most new Android and iPhone models from 2016 and up.
