Thursday 7 February | LordsQs | House of Lords
At the start of business every sitting day Monday to Thursday, the House of Lords quizzes government on any topic. Government ministers or spokespeople must answer members’ questions, and any member may take part. On Thursday 7 February in #LordsQs:
- Lord Collins of Highbury asked how government would ensure the Cross-Government Prosperity Fund is used to achieve the UN Sustainable Development Goals
- Baroness Jones of Whitchurch asked how many additional food inspectors would be put in place to check food imports after a no-deal Brexit
- Baroness Walmsley asked what plans government had to protect patients from counterfeit medicines after Brexit
- Lord Garel-Jones asked what steps government was taking to assist Venezuela in holding a free, fair and democratic presidential election
