MOM AND DAUGHTER REACT TO THE FANTASTIC FOUR: FIRST STEPS!! Mama’s Geeky and her daughter Lorie dive into the brand-new Marvel movie The Fantastic Four: First Steps (2025), and we had an absolute blast watching Marvel’s First Family finally get the spotlight they deserve in the MCU! For me, it was amazing to see these iconic characters reimagined and revisit this film, and for Lorie, it was her first time experiencing the Fantastic Four at all — her excitement was off the charts. Directed by Matt Shakman (WandaVision), The Fantastic Four: First Steps introduces Reed Richards/Mr. Fantastic (Pedro Pascal, The Mandalorian, The Last of Us), Sue Storm/The Invisible Woman (Vanessa Kirby, Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning), Johnny Storm/Human Torch (Joseph Quinn, Stranger Things), and Ben Grimm/The Thing (Ebon Moss-Bachrach, The Bear). Seeing their chemistry, humor, and heart together as a team instantly reminded us why the Fantastic Four are so important to Marvel’s legacy. From the jaw-dropping cosmic visuals to the hilarious sibling banter between Johnny and Sue, and the emotional weight of Ben Grimm’s transformation, this movie gave us chills, laughs, and even a few tears. Plus, the post-credit scene set up some HUGE things for the MCU’s future — we cannot wait for Robert Downey Jr.'s Doctor Doom - including connections fans have been waiting for. We’ve been looking forward to the Fantastic Four joining the MCU, and First Steps did not disappoint. Watching it together made this reaction even more fun as we geeked out, screamed at the surprises, and cheered for Marvel’s original superhero family.
