#shorts video showing Drum Majors leading the massed Pipe Bands playing Barren Rocks of Aden on the march. This was on Saturday 1st July 2023 at Gordon Barracks in Aberdeen as they marched for Beating Retreat during the 2023 Armed Forces day celebrations.
The leading Drum Major was with Neil Jamieson and with him were Drum Majors Walter Davidson, Ronnie Rennie, Ian Esson and Bert Summers. The bands taking part were the Lonach Pipe Band, Ballater & District Pipe Band, Kintore Pipe Band, Newtonhill Pipe Band, the Gordon Highlanders Drums & Pipes and Aberdeen UOTC Drums and Pipes.
