DISCLAIMER:
Water fasting will lead to weight gain if you fall back on the same eating habits you had before the fast. This is the beginning of my lifestyle change - it is not the only thing I’m doing to lose weight.
I am NOT a licensed nutritionist, dietitian, or doctor. This is simply a documentation of my weight loss journey and I do not advice ANYONE under 18 to try this. Seek MEDICAL attention before water fasting, or do very short fasts. I have no accountability for your health and what you do/don’t do with your body. Please do your research and be aware of the downsides of water fasting (like potential metabolic damage, weight gain, and the dangers of dietary changes and restrictions). If you suffer from an eating disorder, please reconsider water fasting. There are other methods of detox: juicing, eating cleaner, following a plant-based diet, or even drinking more water. Intermittent fasting is a great alternative.
This is simply my personal journey and I plan to continue eating healthily and exercising to become a healthier individual. Weight gain is expected for those who fall back into their regular diets. This is not the easiest method for long-term weight loss. It is not a lifestyle, but rather, a form of detox that needs to be followed by a lifestyle change. I truly hope you all seriously consider this and seek medical advice before starting.
