2024 Toyota GR 86 TRUENO Edition – Throwback Spirit, Modern Performance / Toyota GR86 2024

Toyota is introducing exciting updates to the GR86 for the 2024 model year, offering a double dose of pure driving delight. The first addition is the limited GR86 TRUENO Edition, featuring a nostalgic two-tone appearance in a choice of Halo and black or Track bred and black color combinations. This special edition will be built on the Premium grade and will come in both manual and automatic transmission models. Only 860 units will be produced for the US market, and each car will bear a number plate on the driver's side dash to signify its exclusivity.

The GR86 TRUENO Edition will showcase several distinctive elements. It will feature a black wrapped hood, a black TRUENO Edition side panel graphic, and a black painted duckbill spoiler, which will be paired with either Halo or Track bred colors to create the two-tone look. In homage to the 1980s model that inspired its design, the TRUENO Edition will proudly display a TRUENO Edition badge on the front bumper lip and rear decklid. The special edition will also comes with sport black metallic finished 18-inch, 10-spoke aluminum alloy wheels, exclusive to the TRUENO Edition, along with black door handles and mirror caps.

Inside the GR86 TRUENO Edition, the focus on a driver-centric experience continues. The Ultrasuede sport seats will be adorned with eye-catching red leather, complemented by a red-stitched shift boot and a leather-wrapped steering wheel. Enhancing the unique ambiance, the special edition will feature a TRUENO Edition logoed shift knob and all-weather floor and trunk mats. For entertainment and convenience, an 8-inch touchscreen display with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility will be standard, along with a premium eight-speaker audio system, providing an immersive driving experience.

In addition to the TRUENO Edition, Toyota will introduce a Performance Package as optional equipment for GR86 models. This package will include Sachs Dampers and Brembo Brakes, further enhancing the car's performance capabilities. However, for the TRUENO Edition, the Performance Package will come as standard equipment.

These updates to the Toyota GR86 for the 2024 model year aim to deliver a thrilling driving experience and pay homage to the iconic TRUENO heritage.
