2025 RAM 1500 REV - Ram Electric Pickup Truck / ALL-NEW RAM 1500 REV 2025

Ford is selling the F-150 Lightning. Chevrolet has already released the Silverado EV. Ram intends to match and even outperform them with a new pickup, the Ram 1500 REV. According to the company, the new pickup will "redefine the pickup segment." At CES 2023, Ram unveiled a "visionary road map" concept version of the truck. During the Super Bowl, they showed a preview of the production truck. The Ram 1500 REV has now been fully revealed at the 2023 New York Auto Show.

The Ram 1500 REV is built on the STLA Frame platform, which is designed for full-size, body-on-frame EVs. It is built with a high-strength, lightweight steel frame. With a full-length aero belly pan, the Ram 1500 REV has an estimated drag coefficient of.340, the lowest among EV trucks, according to Ram.

Ram offers two 1500 REV battery packs that are appropriately referred to as long-range and even longer-range packs. The standard truck has a 168 kWh battery pack with a range of 350 miles. Buyers can upgrade to a 229 kWh pack (larger than the 212 kWh pack found in the Hummer EV SUT) for a 500-mile range. If that isn't enough, Ram has stated that it will eventually release a Ram REV XR, which sounds like the gasoline range extender version.

Ram equips the 1500 REV 800V with fast-charging technology capable of speeds of up to 350 kW. That's enough juice to increase range by 110 miles in 10 minutes. The 1500 REV is capable of charging from vehicle to home, vehicle to grid, and vehicle to vehicle. The 1500 REV generates 7.2 kW from its bed and 3.5 kW from its 15 cubic foot frunk (0.9 cubic feet larger than the Ford F-150 Lightning).

The Ram 1500 REV has 654 horsepower and 620 pound-feet of torque. It can ford up to 24 inches of water and accelerates from 0 to 60 mph in 4.4 seconds. The Ram 1500 REV can tow up to 14,000 pounds and carry a payload of 2,700 pounds.

Ram offers five trim levels for the 1500 REV: Tradesman, Big Horn/Lone Star, Laramie, Limited, and a new Tungsten trim. Tungsten will be a premium trim with features such as a power tailgate, a one-of-a-kind Indigo/Sea Salt interior, lots of knurling, and a 23-speaker Klipsch Reference Premiere sound system.

Ram has confirmed that a TRX version of the 1500 REV will be available in the future. However, this will not be available at launch.

Coach doors, third-row seating, and a Bollinger-style pass-through from trunk to frunk were all included in the concept version of the Ram 1500 REV. The interior of the Ram 1500 REV is far more conventional, with none of those features.

The 1500 REV's price has yet to be announced by Ram. The 1500 REV is expected to be significantly more expensive than the standard Ram 1500, with prices ranging from $37,000 to $84,555.

The Ram 1500 REV is a model year 2025 vehicle. Ram has stated that the 1500 REV will go into production in 2024, with deliveries beginning in the fourth quarter of that year.
