Socks with zip pockets - a secret place to hide things!

This video explores purses, wallets and other places to keep your money!

A purse in the shape of a fish, made from actual fish skin! Tim got this at the Birmingham Gift Fair in the year 2000. There was a note inside, explaining that it was made of 'aqua leather', a cured fish skin, and was a way of using by products from the fishing industry. Apparently it is a good 'plaice' to keep your pennies!

Security wallets which incorporate a wire mesh, so there is no way your card details can be scanned remotely. Basically a Faraday cage. Tim then shows his own wallet, which has the same technology built into it, but this is a later design and the wire mesh is hidden.

From Morocco a folding purse, a kind of leather origami!

A very strange purse, with three zips all of which open into the same space inside the purse.

A zip purse which starts simply as a long zip, which you can zip up into an actual purse.

A purse for children, in the shape of a sock! It has a proper clasp at one end, so it would be a useful if rather quirky place to keep your coins.

An intriguing purse with a mechanism Tim calls 'running stitches'. Initially it seems there is no way to open it. But if you gently pull in just the right place, the stitches run but do not break, and a gap appears between two pieces of fabric.

From Japan, a piece of leather which starts off completely flat, but cut into an intriguing shape. It folds up to make a wallet!

Finally, a leather purse with 100 pockets! This was a feature on a stand at the Frankfurt Gift Fair from a company that made a variety of leather products. It was draped across the top of the stand as a kind of talking point, but along came Tim who decided he wanted to buy it!
