4K Zurich Countryside Autumn Forest Walk - Cozy Autumn Ambience with Rustling Leaves Sounds. In this Video I Walk in the Zurich Countryside through the autumn Forest. My goal is to reach the observation tower Stadlerberg. Therefore, I walk with a detour about 50 minutes through the forest.

On the first part of this walk I walk across the leafy forest floor. On the right and left side it is lined with trees from which now and then a leaf falls to the ground. The trees have already lost some leaves at this time of the year but still have a beautiful, colorful autumnal dress. It is the 23rd of November 2020 a beautiful, sunny morning. The sun is shining in some places through the tree gaps and from above through the treetops.

This creates a cozy autumn ambience with the sound of rustling leaves under my feet. In the second part I find myself on a forest road with less foliage. This road is slightly covered with leaves and pebbles. When I walk over it, there is a crackling sound under my feet. This path is slightly ascending. My destination the lookout tower is on the highest point of this mountain. But soon I reach the plain and walk past a hidden forest hut towards the tower. Arrived at the tower, I climb it over a spiral staircase. At the top I enjoy the view and watch a plane approaching Kloten airport. The plane flies very low. Feels only 20 meters above me.

Overall, it was a relaxed walk through the forest in autumn. In the following I would like to tell you something about the tower and its surroundings.

The lookout tower Stadlerberg is located on the Stadlerberg in the community of Stadel near Niederglatt in the Swiss canton of Zurich.

The wooden tower, built in 1964, is 25 meters high. Because of its proximity to Kloten Airport, a beacon is installed on the viewing platform. Hiking trails lead from Stadel to the observation tower in about 20 minutes. The tower offers a view over the Zurich Unterland ("Zurich lowlands") and Kloten Airport. Beneath the tower there is a barbecue area.

In 2019, the Stadel municipal council decided to demolish the 55-year-old tower and erect a new one. The project, which is being managed by municipal councilor Rico Barandun, is still in the project development stage.
