Walking in Baden Switzerland - A Tour Thought The Old Town of Baden | Switzerland 4K | Baden Aargau.

In this video we take a tour through the old town of Baden in the canton of Aargau in Switzerland. We start our tour at the Theaterplatz in the old town of Baden to land a few alleys and streets further on the Cordulaplatz. Later we will leave the old town and walk a little outside along the river Limmat. On the other side of the river I walk back towards the old town.

About Baden:

Baden is a city, a township and the capital of the district of Baden in the canton of Aargau in Switzerland. The city is located in the densely populated Limmattal, 21 kilometers northwest of Zurich, 22 kilometers northeast of the canton's capital Aarau and 18 kilometers south of the Baden city of Waldshut-Tiengen.

Within the metropolitan region of Zurich, Baden is the center of an important subagglomeration with about 100,000 residents. The city itself has over 19,000 inhabitants, making it the third most populous municipality in the canton after Aarau and the neighboring community of Wettingen, with which it is closely intertwined geographically and economically.

The history of Baden dates back to the 1st century AD, when the Romans began to use the warm thermal springs in what was then Aquae Helveticae. In 1297, the Habsburgs formally founded the city. The Confederates conquered the city in 1415; until 1798 Baden was a subject city, but had a prominent position as a spa and the most important meeting place of the federal conference statutes (until 1712). At the time of the Helvetic Republic, Baden was the capital of the canton of Baden, and since 1803 the city has been part of the canton of Aargau.
