(Verse 1)
Jonathan crossed the threshold as the heavy door swung wide,
And met the Count in candlelight who stood with courtly pride.
His welcome bore a politeness both formal, cold, and slow,
While shadows clung about the walls where no warm light could grow.

(Verse 2)
The table was prepared though the host did never dine,
Yet spoke with ease and courtesy as though all were in line.
His hand was strong and icy when it clasped the traveller’s own,
And in that grasp there lingered a strange and fearful tone.

(Chorus)
In Castle Dracula where the silence holds its breath,
He walked among the living with a presence near to death.
Each gesture and each movement stirred a quiet, growing fear,
For something was not right within the Count who lingered near.

(Verse 3)
No mirror gave reflection when the Count passed close at hand,
And Jonathan took note of this though scarce could understand.
The doors were locked behind him and no servant could be found,
While every hall and stairway held a still and hollow sound.

(Verse 4)
He saw the Count at moonrise move with silent, dreadful grace,
And scale the castle’s outer wall as though it were a place.
No mortal man could master with such ease of hand and tread,
Yet still he spoke of reason though his thoughts were filled with dread.

(Chorus)
In Castle Dracula where the silence holds its breath,
He walked among the living with a presence near to death.
Each gesture and each movement stirred a quiet, growing fear,
For something was not right within the Count who lingered near.

(Bridge)
By day the Count lay absent and the castle seemed to sleep,
By night he came with purpose from the corridors so deep.
Each hour revealed a mystery that reason could not hold,
And Jonathan grew certain of a truth both dark and old.

(Outro)
So in that ancient fortress high above the world below,
He marked the signs of danger that began to clearly show.
And though he kept his composure as a guest within that place,
A growing sense of peril he could neither hide nor face.
