Prime Minister Narendra Modi and US President Donald Trump were seen interacting at the G7 Summit in Evian, France, marking their first face-to-face meeting in 16 months. The two leaders exchanged a handshake and briefly interacted ahead of the summit proceedings. Their last in-person meeting took place in February 2025 at the White House in Washington, DC, shortly after Trump's second inauguration. Modi and Trump are also scheduled to hold a bilateral meeting on the sidelines of the summit on Wednesday, where key issues of mutual interest are expected to be discussed.
