What Happened to the Carolina Panthers?

The other day I was on Twitter and I came across this picture that really caught my attention. This is a picture of the Carolina Panthers captains, just a few seasons ago in 2015. In this picture includes Cam Newton, Greg Olsen, Ryan Kalil, Luke Keuchly, Aj Klein, and Thomas Davis. This was the same season that the Panthers went 15-1, and made it all the way to the Super Bowl before eventually losing to the Broncos. At the time, Carolina seemed like they were going to dominate the league for years to come, and with Cam Newton playing at an MVP level, their ceiling didn’t have a cap. But fast forward to 2020 and the Panthers are preparing to retool and rebuild, as 5 of the 6 players in this picture are no longer on the team, and the only player who is still on the roster is Cam Newton, whose future with the Panthers remains to have an answer. So what happened to this once bright Panthers squad? In today’s video we’ll be looking back at the last few seasons and trying to examine what has gone wrong.
