Coronation Street Remembers Doris Speed (18 November 1994)

On 16 November 1994, 25 years ago today, Doris Speed passed away the grand age of 95. Doris played Annie Walker, one of the Street's original characters and one of the most iconic.

Two days after her death, ITV broadcast this tribute show to Doris featuring contributions and memories from William Roache, Julie Goodyear, Betty Driver, creator Tony Warren, William Tarmey and Bryan Mosley.

Doris was majestic, and a true one off.

This is not my video, but an upload from a YouTuber named mrmagister (I think that was their full name) in about 2012 who uploaded a wealth of Coronation Street episodes. I downloaded it from here seven years ago so I take no credit for it.
