Those of you who haven't read DH...you have been warned.

Summary: No one forgets their childhood, not even Severus Snape. Journey back with me to a time when Severus knew a little girl who taught him to laugh, to live, and to love without limits. (Basically this centers around them solely as children)

Scenes:

* It's the beginning scene of the chapter The Prince's Tale, where Severus confronts Lily, Petunia puts down Severus, and Lily walks away from him.
* After accidentally using magic at her Muggle school, Lily is tormented by kids who have dubbed her a witch. And who better to come to his rescue than Severus Snape?
* Lily is stunned that him protecting her, but is still hesitant because she knows that no one would understand if she struck up a friendship, so, knowing this, Severus simply walks away.
* Lily finally comes to a decision and she befriends Severus and finally accept that she is indeed a witch.
* Severus refuses to tell his parents about his friendship with Lily, but even without knowing about it, they fight as much as ever. When Lily finds out about Severus' home life, she is moved with empathy and seeks to comfort him, and by doing so, the bond between Severus and Lily grows even deeper.
* Severus and Lily spend the days playing with one another, from one adventure to the next, doing nothing but simply enjoying life.
* The scene with Lily and the woman represents her mum disagreeing with the friendship between Severus and Lily, but Lily doesn't care (as shown when she confronts Petunia). She continues being friends with Severus. And not just any friends. Best friends.

* Finally, Lily receives her letter from Hogwarts and immediately runs to tell Severus (who has received his letter, of course) and together they plan out what it'll be like at Hogwarts. Lily is simply THRILLED to be going.
* They make their journey to Hogwarts—from the train, to Hagrid, and finally to McGonagall, the whole breathtaking, once-in-a-life-time trip—but knowing the uncertainly that the sorting holds for the two of them, Lily makes one small request. And Severus, willing to do anything for Lily, agrees.
* Hand and hand, Lily and Severus walk into the Great Hall to face their destiny.

*Note: The actor and actress might not quite look like Severus and Lily, but this was the best match I could get with them playing in the same movie, so please don't let it distract you. And don't flame. It's not nice.
