In the past a 'serious ministerial error' would result in jobs lost
Sky News host Peta Credlin says ministerial responsibility doesn't seem to mean much anymore, whereas in the past if there was a serious ministerial error, it would result in jobs being lost.
"Not so today," Ms Credlin said.
"Just as absent are any rules for public servants and officials who act in ways that costs the taxpayer millions, or cost some their lives," she said.
"The Ruby Princess, the hotel quarantine failures in Melbourne, as it stands tonight, every MP, every official, all of them still have their jobs, and all of them, of course, on full pay.
Ms Credlin said this is the case "while tens of thousands of businesses have gone under and millions of workers have lost their jobs".
