Seattle dealerships brace for Trump's potential tariff on imported cars

The cost of a new car could soon spike by thousands of dollars, according to a labor analyst as President Trump's planned tariff on imported vehicles and car parts could go into effect as early as April 2.

The race is on for some people looking to buy their next car before those potential high-price increases on what is likely to be one of their biggest all-time purchases.

Labor Analyst Thomas Fellows explained that momentum may change in a matter of weeks as Trump announced a new 25% tariff on imported vehicles and car parts could go into effect this week.
