Roy man accused of killing neighbor during dispute of surveillance cameras and lights

Investigators in Pierce County allege a Roy man ran over his neighbor multiple times during a dispute about lights and surveillance cameras on their respective properties.

Prosecutors charged Keaton Scott Ross, 27, with second-degree murder for the death of his 41-year-old neighbor, who is identified in court filings by the initials J.C.

According to the charges, Ross and the victim got into an argument near 300 284th Street on Wednesday night around 10:00 p.m. Ross told detectives he recently put up two surveillance cameras on a pole at the end of his driveway and disagreed with J.C. over a light shining onto his property.
