20 06 Millington Air Base

The weather was perfect for catch up with my good friend Roy yesterday. I hadn’t flown in to his strip since October and the last time we met was ages ago. His Harrier has a Buccaneer as a stablemate now so I was keen to see that. Then we sat outside under an old oak tree and had socially distanced coffee and a chat. After that we went for a quad bike ride through the superb Shropshire countryside. It was the hottest day of the year so far but Roy found some idyllic places by a streams and ponds to cool down. Riding through the fields and woods, with the fragrance of the fields and hedgerows with the sound of bird song was just sublime. A wonderful day. Thanks Roy.
