1966 Ford Galaxie 500 convertible restoration part 131 Installing bumper and a ride in it

Got a lot done in the last few days. I restored the horns, even tho one docent work. I installed the rear bumper, and took the Galaxie out for a ride. Put a whopping seven miles on it. Ran it up to 50mph. I need to tighten the control arm bushing before driving it anymore.

It was a little cantankerous starting it cold, as it's been a month or more since last starting it.... plus the weather has been very hot. That a causes gas to go bad much quicker. After running for about five minutes, it smoothed out and ran very well. Next time I have it warmed up, I'll do a warm start too. It starts very easy warm. For the warm start, I push the gas pedal about a quarter way to the floor, turn the key and it's running.

Closed on dad's house yesterday too.
