The Internal Revenue Service says the first wave of $1,400 direct payments are hitting bank accounts this weekend and will continue over the next few weeks. President Joe Biden, Vice President Kamala Harris and their spouses plan to travel next week to promote and explain what the $1.9 trillion relief package will do.
