On December 18 2020, News12 Long Island covered GraBar Fish & Seafood's philanthropic efforts with Island Harvest Food Bank. With the Covid-19 Pandemic making lives even harder for the people of the Amityville and Copiague communities, GraBar Fish & Seafood was excited to offer up their signature New England Clam Chowder to the over 100 families expected at the community food pantry distribution at Edmund W. Miles Middle School in Amityville on Friday, December 18th. A range of other food products, both dry and canned, were made available for all families but people receiving the meal packages were happy and surprised to receive an extremely fresh and gourmet offering with GraBar’s “Joes Famous” New England Clam Chowder.
