FINDING A PHILLY CHEESESTEAK IN DENMARK: Trying American Food in Copenhagen
FINDING A PHILLY CHEESESTEAK IN DENMARK: Trying American Food in Copenhagen
#Denmark #Danmark #København
In the video we are joined by Josh and Miranda of @Travelin' Young to find a Philly cheesesteak in Denmark.
We head to Philly’s Copenhagen and meet to discuss how the cheesesteak was invented in Philly and how they’re made. We talked about different American foods and which ones you can find in Denmark. Then we wanted to know how the Philadelphia cheesesteak got to Denmark!
We meet with Assad, the co-founder of Philly’s Copenhagen to learn how the chain got its start in Denmark and why cheesesteaks are now part of Copenhagen’s food scene. When we first moved to Denmark, we thought we would have to give up the Philly cheesesteak for good. We’re thrilled that living in Copenhagen can also include having a Philly cheesesteak, one of our favorite foods from home.
After learning about how Assad brought the Philly cheesesteak to Denmark, we decided to make this delicious food ourselves. We paired up with Josh and Miranda to hit the grill and create our own version of Denmark’s hottest street food - the Philly cheesesteak.
Some of us did better than others, but Assad picked his favorite and we wrapped up a fun time.
