With a government shutdown looming if funding for different appropriation bills aren't passed by September 30th, a recent proposal brings bad news for social security beneficiaries, including SSI and SSDI. We go over what they're saying about social security, and the future of the program. Currently, we also have a different plans to improve social security and its solvency problem, and we highlight a couple of different plans. One of the plans increases social security payments by $200 per month, and another, more realistic, does something rather interesting.
