U-Bahn Berlin Bahnhof Olympiastadion U2 HD

1913 eröffnet als "Stadion", 1935 umbenannt in "Reichssportfeld", 1950 dann in "Olympia-Stadion". Von 1992-1999 hatte der Bahnhof den Namenszusatz "Ost" erhalten, der dann aber weggelassen wurde. Der gleichnamige S-Bahnhof schreibt sich ohne Bindestrich und ist ca. 500 Meter vom U-Bahnhof entfernt.
Der Bahnhof hat heute einen eher geringen Verkehrswert und ist lediglich zu Veranstaltungen stärker beansprucht. In der Regel wird er nur alle 10(Hauptverkehrszeit 8) Minuten angefahren. Die Aufnahmen stammen zwar aus der Zeit der U12, sind aber trotzdem repräsentativ für den Bahnhof. Zu sehen sind auch Rangierarbeiten auf der angrenzenden Betriebswerkstatt Grunewald(Kleinprofil). Die Brücke über den Gleisen ist zu bestimmten Zeiten geöffnet und bietet eine gute Möglichkeit für Aufnahmen. Im Gebäude des Bahnhofs befindet sich das U-Bahn-Museum, zu dem ich auch schon ein Video angefertigt habe.

Opened in 1913 as "Stadion", renamed in 1935 to "Reichssportfeld", in 1950 to "Olympia-Stadion". From 1992-1999 the additional suffix "East" was added to the name but later on left off. The equally named station from the S-Bahn is written "Olympiastadion" without a hyphen. Both stations are approximately 500m away from each other.
Today the station is mainly important for events like sport and concerts in the name-giving stadion. The station is serviced every 10 minutes(during rush hour every 8 minutes). The recordings were made during the time of the U12 but they are representative for the station. Also seen are shunting works because there is the train yard Grunewald for small profile trains. The bridge over the tracks is opened quite often so you have a good view of the train yard here. The building of the station contains the subway museum. I already made a video of this.
