Popcorn Chicken KFC Style | Crispy Popcorn Chicken

Visuals been experimenting with different ingredients and techniques for making this KFC Popcorn Chicken. This is the easiest recipe which my family and friends are satisfied with. I managed to achieve a similar taste like the original KFC Popcorn Chicken by using simple ingredients that many of us have in the kitchen. I've tried making this Popcorn Chicken by dipping in the cold water and coating the chicken with the flour twice, but I wasn't satisfied with the end result. So I came out with my own version WITHOUT DOUBLE COATING and NO DIPPING in cold water. After a few trial and error, I am sharing this easy and crispy Popcorn Chicken Recipe. This recipe doesn't taste good if you want to save oil. Best to dip with your favorite sauce and enjoy.

TIPS:

1. If you prefer a little spicy taste, you may add 3/4 teaspoon of black pepper into the flour.

2. Use small size container to coat the chicken well with the flour. If it didn't coat well, just coat one shot using your hands (refer to video).

3. Coat 10-12 pieces of chicken per batch, then fry them and transfer to a cooling rack. Do not coat all the chickens at one go.

4. Chicken won't take long to cook since the size is small.

2.39 - After frying the first batch of chicken, turn the heat to low and leave it on low heat. At this time you may coat the second batch. The low heat is hot enough to fry the second and third batch of chicken as long as you don't turn off the heat.

3.01 - After frying all the chicken, turn off the heat and oil needs to cool for at least 5 minutes. (So be careful when handling the oil since the oil is still hot)

1 CUP = 250 ml
1 TSP = Teaspoon
1 TBSP = Tablespoon
