Julian Assange to return to Australia following ‘2,000 days’ in max security prison
Sky News host Caleb Bond discusses the “big news of the day” as Julian Assange is set to return to Australia following a plea deal over espionage charges.
“Julian Assange, he is now free from prison and on his way back home to Australia after spending almost 2,000 days in a maximum-security prison in the UK,” he said.
“The prosecution will seek a 62-month sentence, which is how long he has already been in the clink, meaning he will be able to come back to Australia straight away.”
