Rishi Sunak’s fiery debate performance came ‘far too late’

Sky News contributor Emily Carver says the UK election debate was almost a “pointless exercise” as Rishi Sunak is still down 20 points behind Labour in the polls.

Prime Minister Rishi Sunak and Labour leader Keir Starmer went head-to-head over tax, immigration, gender and Brexit in their final debate before next week’s general election.

“Suddenly, he has a bit of fire in his belly when it’s far too late for him to do anything,” Ms Carver said.

“And we are heading towards an absolutely massive landslide victory for the Labour Party.”
