My LONGEST surgery ever & why I almost quit surgery!

Surgery training is not easy. It has its high but also very deep lows. The physical pain you can learn to ignore & tolerate and dare I say it, even enjoy in a twisted, self-flagellating way but the mental scars stay with you for life.

I'll be honest - this particular surgery was the closest I've come to hanging up my scalpel and saying good bye to a career I spent the best part of 10 years working towards...find out why, who, where, how and WTF!

This one was an emotional day and triggered some serious PTSD when i was filming it!
