The Majority of Businesses Have Their Marketing Budget Backwards

A lot of businesses have their marketing budget allocated 80/20. 80% of the budget goes to distributing the creative and 20% of the budget goes to actually creating the content. Because Gary believes so heavily in the importance of a high quantity of content, and values the internet's underpriced attention, he actually spends more of his marketing budgets on creative than distribution. The low cost of sharing things on the internet, with the ability to still reach millions of people allows you to focus more on what you are creating, create more content overall, and ultimately have a higher chance of resonating with more people. The high costs that used to be needed to distribute content on TV and radio are gone and can be re-allocated to the creative iteself.
