HOW TO MAKE THE BEST SAZERAC COCKTAIL | New Orleans Rye Whiskey Classic Cocktails | Ciara O Doherty

Well HELLO THERE, and welcome back to another episode of Cocktails with Ciara! In today's video I'm revisiting the classic Sazerac cocktail with some new and improved ingredients. I've always said that this classic rye whiskey cocktail is my absolute favourite, so let's see how much I can improve on my original video...

✨Ingredients ✨
60 ml rye whiskey (I used Sazerac Rye)
4-5 dashes Peychauds bitters
1-2 barspoons of 1:1 simple syrup
5ml la fee parisienne absinthe as a rinse
Lemon peel for garnish

✨ Method ✨
Stir all ingredients into a mixing glass with ice.
Add absinthe to a tumblr glass and twist to coat the edges, before discarding the absinthe.
Strain into a chilled coupe glass, and garnish with a slice of lemon peel.
Express lemon oils into the drink before adding the peel if you wish.
✨ ENJOY! ✨
