Ham and Mozzarella Meatloaf Roll Ep.132
Ham and Mozzarella Meatloaf Roll Recipe:
In a large mixing bowl add:
- 2 Lbs. ( 900 kg ) lean ground beef
- 2 eggs
- 1 cup Italian bread crumbs
- 1/2 white onion finely diced
- 2 Tbs. ketchup
- 2 Tbs. mustard
- 1 Tbs. worcestershire sauce
- 2 tsp. granulated garlic powder
- 2 tsp. Italian seasoning
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. pepper
- mix all well thoroughly
- lay 2 pieces of plastic wrap about 17" long on the counter overlapping by 1"
- place meat on plastic wrap and form with hands in a rectangle about 1/2" thick
- place thin sliced deli ham on top leaving about 1-1/2" around edges of meatloaf exposed
- place strips of mozzarella cheese on top of ham
- roll up into a log shape using the plastic wrap to help shape it
- place on a cookie sheet with parchment paper
Cooking:
- place in preheated 375 F oven for 40 minutes
- remove and brush generously with marinara sauce
- place temperature probe into loaf
- return to 375 F oven for 10 - 20 minutes until temperature reaches 155 F, cover and rest for 10 minutes, the temperature should rise to 160 F
- slice and serve
You're going to love it! It's sooooooo moist and delicious! Makes fabulous leftover sandwiches the next day on toasted buns with extra cheese and marinara sauce!
