How to Write with Intention | A Creative Exercise

Artists and writers are very intentional when they create. Crayolian James Wells will help viewers with their creative intentions by using the intentional #writing framework.

Writers often find inspiration in personal or historical events. In this exercise, focus on a significant moment in history—such as the 1963 March on Washington. When using the intentional writing framework, you can process through the following:
1. Intent – the main idea you want to communicate
2. Audience—who are you writing to and for
3. Voice—either emotional, logical, or credible
4. Genre—the category your creative piece falls under such as history, music, movies, etc.
