MATERIALS:
Canvas: 16x20 stretched primed canvas Brushes: 1/2 inch flat bristle (large), 1/4 inch flat bristle brush (medium), #4 round (small)
Acrylic Paint: titanium white, mars black, deep yellow, burnt umber (brown), burnt sienna (rust), fire red
Other: #2 pencil, 9 inch paper plate, palette, cup of water for washing brushes, paper towel for drying brushes

STEPS:
1. #2 pencil and paper plate – Sketch outline for animal and sweatshirt
2. 1/2 inch bristle brush – Paint the shirt with black and white
3. 1/2 inch bristle brush – Paint base coat for sweatshirt with red and black
4. 1/2 inch bristle brush – Paint base coat of fur with rust, brown, yellow and white
5. #4 round brush – Paint edge of sweatshirt with maroon (made in step #3) and black
6. 1/2 inch bristle brush – Paint highlights and shadows on sweatshirt with black, maroon and red
7. #4 round brush - Paint 1st layer of facial features with black and brown
8. 1/2 inch bristle brush – Paint shadows in fur and ears with black, brown, rust and tan (made in step #4)
9. #4 round brush – Paint teeth on zipper with gray (made in step #2) and white
10. #4 round brush – Paint Zipper clasp with gray, white and black
11. #4 round brush – Paint eye with yellow, rust, brown, black and white
12. 1/2 inch bristle brush – Paint highlighted fur with tan, white, yellow, rust and brown
13. 1/4 inch bristle and #4 round brushes – Finish fur with brown, black, rust, tan, red, yellow and white
14. #4 round brush – Paint sweatshirt string with red, yellow, black and white
15. #4 round brush – Paint whiskers with brown, rust, yellow and white
16. #4 round brush - Sign with black
