The Story of Lupke La | Islamabad to Snowlake | Part 1

A journey that was planned in 2019 was lived in August 2021. Back in May, I got connected with 5 other crazy heads like me and together we were able to successfully execute this expedition. Starting our journey from Islamabad, making all the arrangements ourselves (food, permit, supplies, equipment, HAPs, LAPs, admin work) we were able to reach Snowlake in 8 days.

The journey then continued towards Lupke La Pass (The Long Pass) which took another 3 days to cross. Our expedition of 6 members and 10 HAPs became the first and the only group of 2021 to cross this territory reaching an altitude of 5,700 m and an extreme temperature of -18 C

Alhamdullilah the journey was successful ! The views were breathtaking ! The terrain very challenging ! And the mountains ever so beautiful
