SWISS F18 HORNET DEMO - WADDINGTON AIRSHOW 2012 (airshowvision)

Airshowvision proudly present the one standout highlight of the 2012 UK airshow season - the Swiss F18 Demo team performance from the Waddington Airshow.

This was no surprise as whenever the Swiss demonstrate their F18C it is always the highlight of any airshow; they are just so much better than anyone else at showing what the mighty F18 can do in the air.

They even upstage the Super Hornet with ease - just watch how much more entertaining this demo is than the US Navy Hornet at Farnborough 2012. The Swiss win hands down for entertainment, despite the Super Hornet being newer and more powerful.

For me the F18C is probably the best fast jet demo aircraft in the world - you just never see a dull display from this jet, and the way in launches itself into the vertical seems unmatched by any other fast jet.

I fist saw an F18 demo at my local airfield RAF Church Fenton in 1989 (I have just researched the date) from the Canadian Air Force, and the memories of that display never fade - it was awesome.
