A man in Gurgaon fell victim to a credit card fraud in India and lost ₹3 lakhs — and the scam is unlike anything you’ve heard.

He applied for an American Express card through a fake Facebook link. Soon, a scammer posing as a bank representative convinced him to download a fraudulent mobile app.

The app secretly accessed his photo gallery, revealing details of his other credit cards. Within minutes, online banking fraud drained ₹3 lakhs from his accounts.

⚠️ How to protect yourself from credit card and online banking scams:
1️⃣ Never click on suspicious ads or unknown links.
2️⃣ Always verify URLs — only use official bank or NBFC websites.
3️⃣ Avoid downloading unknown apps for filling forms. Stick to official banking apps only.
