New Year Good Luck Mochi Charm at The Bead Gallery, Honolulu
Happy New Year!!! Join me in creating a special and meaningful way to bring good luck and prosperity into your life or the life of a loved one!
The Kasane Mochi is a traditional Japanese New Year's decoration that is believed to bring good luck and prosperity to those who display it in their homes.
People in Japan put up the Kasane mochi in their homes, temples, and shrines during the New Year to celebrate and bring good luck for the new year.
Rice is an important symbol in Japanese culture, and it is often associated with good fortune, prosperity, and unity. Rice is seen as a symbol of abundance and fertility, and it is believed to bring good luck and prosperity to those who consume it. In addition to its good luck properties, the sticky nature of mochi is also seen as a symbol of the family staying together. :)
On top of the mochis is a daidai, a special kind of orange that's a symbol of long life, and to top it off, pine branches or some greenery, as a symbol of good luck, change, and abundance!
Our exclusive Kasane Mochi charm is a miniature version of a beautiful and symbolic Japanese decoration that we hope you can enjoy year-round!
