Shower and Tub Clogged by nasty hair and plastic hair removal tool! | Unclogged Episode 12

This video shows a plumber unclogging a bath tub using what is called a High Speed Flex Shaft! We at Plumbing Explained Believe the High Speed Flex shaft systems to be the future of drain cleaning for plumbers around the world, Its only just in the last few years started to gain traction here in the US but they are without a doubt the coolest things ive ever used to clear drains and they work better than snakes! The Flex shaft systems also can be easily made portable because like the Ridgid system is powered by a Drill, same with many of the Loose flex shafts you can buy. Flex shafts made by Clog Squad are AWESOME Flex shafts and its actually the Clog Squad youve seen here on youtube that partnered with Ridgid and made the K9 series!

In this Video I am demonstrating what I believe to be one of the future products of drain cleaning, I know Flex shafts have been around for a while now but for alot of guys specially here on the west coast Flex shafts are brand new. The Whole Concept of the flex shaft drain cleaning machine or device whatever you prefer to call it is absolutely amazing! The first time I heard of Flex shafts was the Clog Squad here on youtube. I was trying to kinda make my own flex shaft with a 1/4" cable through a piece of 1/2" pex and I was googling to see if anybody else had done anything like this and thats when I found The Clog Squad which I believe was around 2017. I didnt go too far with my Idea I was doing alot of just normal service plumbing work and kinda doing my best to stay away from drain calls. I was of this weird mindset that drain calls were somehow beneath me because I had reached this point as a plumber where I could do or fix pretty much anything why would I lower myself to doing the dirtiest part of plumbing which sometimes can be real hard work for not the best money if not done correctly.

Well Life has its way of slapping you in the face so I was able to get a second chance and I realized you know what Ive always really enjoyed drain cleaning and unclogging drains. Ive always been pretty good at it and back when I first got into plumbing I started my own little unclogging service, I didnt really know what I was doing but I learned ALOT about drains around the area I normally service. Now that im back plumbing again after my battle with Cancer we decided to start our own company and one thing I kinda wanted to focus on was drain cleaning. The main reason I wanted to focus on drain cleaning atleast at first is because Unclogging drains and Drain Cleaning mostly only requires skill and equipment other than the initial investment for Equipment its all profit and the equipment all pays for itself as you will see if you watch the Unclogged Series on this channel.

I am a huge fan of the Flex shafts and I a h some guys over seas who can help me bring more flex shafts here to the US specially over here on the West Coast, Southern C s. I love my flex shafts they are pretty much all I use these days, Ive got my Ridgid k9-204 which is my favorite snake on my truck right now closely followed by my little Spartan Model 81 rocking a Dual drum. Spartan is also in the Flexshaft game they are using the Rebranded Picote flex shaft systems which are to be honest from all Ive heard and seen they are the Rolls Royce of the flex shafts out on the market right now. If Im ever able to find one at a good price I will definitely be purchasing a Picote, Once my company grows a little we will invest in more equipment but I feel like we are currently in pretty good shape with all the stuff we have right now. We've got the assortment of Flex shafts that I carry on the truck, A Spartan Model 81 with one Drum carrying 25 feet of 1/4" cable and one Drum carrying 50 feet of 5/16 Inner core cable, We've got our Redneck 75 which is a Hydro star Machine carrying a 75 foot Inner core Spartan Cable strapped to a Dolly! We got our 4 gpm 4200 psi Cart Jetter with 100 feet of 1/4" hose and last but not least We got the Ridgid K9-204 Flex shaft which is 75 feet of 3/8 flex shaft and is my hands down favorite machine I carry on my truck.
