Manchester's Castlefield Viaduct

In this video we look at Manchester's Castlefield Viaduct. It is a fine example of victorian railway architecture and engineering. This is a grade II listed railway structure and a very important landmark in Manchester history. We also go looking on the now disused railway line and go on an urban explore, urban exploring a disused railway line, Urbex. This railway viaduct was opened in 1893 and served Manchester Central station and the Great Northern warehouse. It carried the cheshire lines railway. The railway line is now disused and abandoned.
Music by Martin. Sound sample from a song called The Misunderstanding by OMD
