In this video we find five English historical curiosities. We find an old historical dungeon. In Tottington just outside the town of Bury, Lancashire. A remarkable survivor from 1835 the 19th century. Also a railway footbridge Turton Railway bridge built in a medieval style in keeping with the local Turton tower. Also we visit Rivington Gardens and Rivington pike just outside Bolton. This is the legacy of Lord Leverhulme a very wealthy man that had the gardens commissioned. We also look at some remarkable bridge architecture built around 1910 in the Edwardian era. Finally we visit The Lancashire Mining museum at Astley Lancashire. We look at the last remaining pit head winding gear in The north west of England and Lancashire. Now grade II listed structure. Lovely victorian and Edwardian engineering and railway architecture.
