Yellowstone National Park is home to about half of all the geysers on Earth. And one of them, Steamboat Geyser is the tallest active geyser in the world, capable of shooting water up 300 feet. But it can also go years without much of a show. Recently, it's erupted three times in less than two months, breaking a quiet streak that started in 2014. Now scientists have increased monitoring of the Steamboat's seismic data, which could lead to a better understanding of this powerful and erratic geological wonder.
