LIVE Report: Is Naravane's Book Published? | DAC Likely to Approve 114 Rafale Jets Deal

Former Army Chief General Manoj Mukund Naravane’s memoir Four Stars of Destiny has not yet been published; Penguin Random House India has clarified that no authorised copies—print or digital—have gone into public circulation, even as an FIR has been registered over alleged unauthorised circulation of the manuscript.

At the same time, the Defence Acquisition Council (DAC) is expected to meet and likely approve the acquisition of 114 Rafale fighter jets from France, in a deal reportedly valued at around ₹3.25 lakh crore, ahead of French President Emmanuel Macron’s visit to India. The proposal aims to procure around 18 jets in fly‑away condition and manufacture the rest in India with high indigenous content, which could make India the largest operator of Rafale jets globally.
