Myanmar military needs to stop violent crackdown and pave way for dialogue: Analyst Nehginpao Kipgen

The military in Myanmar said it wants peace and security, just as troops have reportedly shot dead another four protesters. Meanwhile, Ms Christine Burgener, the UN special envoy for Myanmar is set to embark on an Asian tour. She wants face-to-face meetings with Myanmar's generals but has not received permission to visit the country. Professor Nehginpao Kipgen from O.P Jindal Global University shared how the special envoy's visit could help with the crisis.
